Artists and the Cultural Foundation: The Early Years (Arabic)

To mark the 2019 reopening of the Cultural Foundation, the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi presented 'Artists and the Cultural Foundation: The Early Years'. This exhibition, curated by Maya Allison and Alia Zaah Lootah, celebrated the artists who had a close relationship with the Foundation, through the galleries 'A First Generation: To Cairo and Back' and 'The Culture Foundation: Three Generations'. This exhibition catalogue features the work of Abdul Qader Al Rais; Abdul Rahim Salim; Abdulrahman Zainal; Azza Al Qubaisi; Hassan Sharif; Jalal Luqman; Khulood Al Jabri; Mahmoud Jameel Al Ramahi; Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim; Mohamed Al Mazrouei; Mohamed Yousif; Mohammed Al Astad; Mohammed Al Qassab; Mohammed Mandi; Mona Al Khaja; Najat Makki; Obaid Suroor; and Salma Al Marri. The publication includes an essay by curator Maya Allison on the history of the Foundation, its artists and influence, and a 'Letter to the Cultural Foundation' by Mohamed Al Mazrouei.
