Seeing Through Light The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi exhibition 'Seeing Through Light', held at Manarat Al Saadiyat in 2014, was the first display of works from the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi collection. This publication focuses on the featured works of 19 international artists, from the 1960s to the present day. The chapters follow the exhibition gallery themes of Activated, Celestial, Perceptual, Reflected and Transcendent light. From abstract paintings to large installations, the works illuminate the dynamic field of contemporary art.The artists featured aree: Ghada Amer, Keith Sonnier, Otto Piene, Yayoi Kusama, Larry Bell, Song Dong, Samia Halaby, Angela Bulloch, Mounir Shahroudy Farmanfarmain, Dan Flavin, Shirazeh Houshiary, Robert Irwin, Y.
